Wondering what to do this summer? Interested in learning to play tennis?

The Sault Ste. Marie Tennis Association announces fun and affordable tennis lessons and clinics for children and adults.

Tennis is an affordable and lifelong sport that promotes physical fitness, social well-being and a healthy lifestyle.

Adult group lessons (ages 17+) will be held twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from July 8 until August 14, 2014.

To accommodate as many people as possible, two sessions will be held – one in the morning, and one in the evening.

Morning sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., while the evening sessions will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Junior Beginner lessons for children ages 5 to 7 will be offered on the same days as the Adult lessons, but will run from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

All lessons will be held at the City of SSM North Street Tennis Courts at the corner of Bloor Street and York Street.

Registration is $120 for each set of lessons.

As part of the registration fee, each person also receives a membership to the Sault Ste. Marie Tennis Association, a membership to the Ontario Tennis Association, and a Sault Ste. Marie Tennis Association “Tennis Is For Life” t-shirt.

In addition, four weekly tennis clinics for Juniors, ages 8 to 16, will be held in July.

Each clinic will run from Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Clinics will run the weeks of July 7, July 14, July 21 and July 28, and registration for each clinic is $120.

Space for tennis lessons and clinics is limited, so early registration is recommended.

To register contact the Sault Ste. Marie Tennis Association at [email protected] or phone Coach Tom at 585-269-4889.

Please pay on the first day of the lesson or the clinic.
