LAIRD TWP - It will be the final four turns around the 1/3-mile d-shaped asphalt oval for the 2012 season at the Laird International Raceway this Saturday.

The track has scheduled the Finale - 2012 Season Championships for this coming Saturday, September 8 (no racing Thursday).

Time trials at 5 p.m. with the green flag dropping on racing action at 6 p.m.

Admission for this event has been specially priced at $10 for adults/seniors while children 11 and under are absolutely free (Students 12-18 are just $6).

Heading into the night the tightest year-end points battle is featured in the Leisure Living Factory Four division.

Entering Week 11, Jack Lannigan (#42) holds a one-point advantage over Taylor Crockford (#00), meanwhile Leila Uhlman (#11) finds herself just 8 points out of the lead in the third position.

With eight points separating three cars for the 2012 championship, it very well may come down to the final race and final turn to crown the winner.

Elsewhere, Paul McLean (#10) will be looking to win back-to-back championships in the Twisted Toyz Motorsports Super Late Models.

The Sault Ste. Mare, Ontario competitor holds a 14-point lead over Keith King (#91).

Speaking of King (#91), the second-generation driver is on-pace to claim his first track championship with a 52-point lead in the Caswell Concrete Products Outlaw Modifieds.

Cody MacLean (#43) climbed into second place following last week's feature win in the division.

The LIR Modified division will take to the track with Rick Ellis (#5) sitting as your points leader.

The veteran competitor leads Jake Irwin (#21) by 13 points while Nick Kozak (#00) rounds out the top three with 275 points.

In the Maitland Motors Factory Stock Division, Kyle Jarrett (#27) is one-year removed from his last championship run (2010) and has safe 72 point lead over Jason Praysner (#5) and 76-point lead over defending track champion Jamie Fox (#51).

While in the KM Construction Xtreme Four Division, Jakob Bourdage (#98) will look to follow up his championship one year ago, with another.

The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario driver has a 22-point lead over young gun Dustin Jackson (#61).

Along with a full 6-in-1 show, this Saturday will also feature School Bus Racing and fireworks!
