Laird International Raceway has cancelled its season opener, scheduled for tomorrow night.
Owner Donny Varcoe tells SooToday.com that the event is being postponed until next Thursday because of the unseasonably cold evenings we've been experiencing lately.
It's not a matter of the track infrastructure being unable to handle the cold, but Varcoe said he's worried about the fans.
The decision to postpone was made late last night.
