Nominations are now open for the 7th Annual Algoma Visionary Awards.
The awards – presented by the Strive Young Professionals Group, a dynamic organization under the umbrella of the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce – aim to recognize and celebrate outstanding young professionals in the Sault and Algoma region.
At a gala early next year, 17 deserving young professionals who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community engagement, professional achievement, volunteerism, and mentoring will be honoured.

Nominations can be submitted until December 5.
The awards gala is scheduled to take place on January 12 at Grand Gardens. Tickets can be purchased on the official AVA website.
Strive was established in 2012 by the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce to address a representation gap for young professionals.
“The organization, led by an elected executive, works collaboratively with various groups, individuals, and businesses within the community to provide networking events, learning development opportunities, and community involvement initiatives,” it explained in a news release.
