SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - Summer Is here and we want kids to play safe. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Batchewana Police Service, Sault Ste Marie Police Service, and Anishinabek Police Service will be on the lookout for kids that are playing safely and are obeying all the traffic Safety rules and wearing the appropriate PPE “Personal Protective Equipment” for the activity they are taking part in.

If kids are bicycling, skateboarding, roller blading, swimming or playing in the playground and doing all the right things an officer patrolling the area will present them with a certificate that was printed by Algoma Office Equipment and also a coupon that can be redeemed for an ice cream treat courtesy of Timberland General Store, Lock City Diaries, “Holy Cow’s Ice Cream Parlor”, Big Arrow Variety and Syrette’s Confectionery.

The child can also drop off their ballot at these locations for a chance to win one of 10 bikes donated by Algoma Power Inc. Canadian Tire will also donate a helmet for each bike won.

Let's make sure kids enjoy a great summer and play safe!
