NEWS RELEASE

SAULT STE MARIE
POLICE SERVICE

*************************
On Thursday, May 22 at 6 p.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Law Enforcement Community will be descending upon Walmart Great Northern Road for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

The runners will travel down Great Northern Road and Bruce Street with the final destination of Walmart Station Mall.

The Sault Ste. Marie Law Enforcement Torch Run would like to thank this year’s corporate sponsors; Walmart Canada, Bayfront Quality Inn and United Steelworkers Local 2251 for their generous contributions.

Members of the public are invited to run with the officers on run day.

If you do not wish to run, but want to show your support you can make a monetary contribution to Special Olympics Ontario at Walmart Great Northern Road from now until run day;  your name will be entered for a gift basket draw at that location.

Contributions made by the public will be matched by Walmart Canada.

For questions regarding the Law Enforcement Torch Run or contributions to Special Olympics Ontario, please contact Constable Shaun Beaulieu at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service (705) 949-6300 (ext: 5304).
