Sault business representatives and local politicians were jollificating at the Marconi Club over the lunch hour today, all to promote an upcoming trade mission to Italy.

"It is our mission to attract business, whether that be through networking or direct investment," said John Febbraro, the Economic Development Corp.'s industrial marketing director.

Mayor John Rowswell and local MP Carmen Provenzano (shown in our photo with Febbraro) were also in attendance.

The mission's objective is to put local businesses in contact with foreign markets, in this case Italy, and to network and build each country's economy.

"It's all about building relationships, whether that relationship be in our own backyard [or in another country]," said Provenzano to the crowd.

The Italian trade mission is set for June 19 to 28.
