Jim Loney arrives in Toronto at noon today

Christian PeacemakerTeams member James Loney, recently freed after four months in captivity in Iraq, is scheduled to arrive on an international flight at approximately noon EST at Pearson International Airport, Terminal 1 on Sunday, March 26, 2006.

Upon arrival he will have a private visit with family members.

After his family visit, he will make a brief statement to the media at the airport.

Please respect James and his family's desire for privacy during this time, and over the coming days.

In a statement read by a fellow CPT teammate at a press conference in Baghdad, James, along with colleagues Norman Kember and Harmeet Singh Sooden said: "We are deeply grateful to all those who worked and prayed for our release. We have no words to describe our feelings of great joy at being free again. Our heads are swirling and when we are ready, we will talk to the media."
