Jacob receives 13 charges resulting from search warrant

On the 30th of April at approximately 12:55 p.m., officers from the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Crime Suppression Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a Wellington Street West address.

Several prohibited weapons, including Nunchaku sticks and a blow gun, ammunition as well as marijuana and codeine pills were confiscated.

32-year-old Jacob Carter of that address was charged with 4 counts of possession of prohibited weapons, 3 counts of possession of Narcotics, one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking as well as 5 counts of breaching a recognizance in relation to not possessing weapons or ammunition.

Mr. Carter will be appearing in bail court this morning.
