How did your pumpkin grow? The Algoma Farmer’s Market and the City of Sault Ste. Marie will host the 6th Annual Pumpkin Weigh-Off Festival on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Enter your potentially award winning giant pumpkin for everyone to admire.  Please have your pumpkins on site by 11 a.m. The pumpkin weigh-off will begin at 12 noon. 

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the adult category. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in the children’s category.  

Other family activities include:

  • Children’s story and craft hour from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library
  • Face Painting and Henna tattoos
  • Children’s Scavenger Hunt

The 6th Annual Pumpkin Festival is proudly sponsored by Rector Machine Works.
