Sault Pride organizes 2nd Annual Rotaryfest Pride Float

We are urging all residents of Sault Ste. Marie to show their support by showing up at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 20 to march alongside the float.

The lineup is on Bay Street between Brock and Pim, and the parade continues along Queen Street starting at 11 a.m.

You can either march on foot, or decorate a bicycle or electric scooter to ride alongside the main float.

Waterguns and bubble-blowers are encouraged!

The float will be recognizable by rainbow flags and brightly-coloured balloons, so Sault Pride welcomes anyone and everyone to join in the march.

Sault Pride is organizing this event for people who don’t feel a sense of place in another float this year, or for people who just want to be surrounded by great people and great energy.

After all, who doesn’t love rainbows, dance music and pompoms?

It gives individuals a space to show their sense of pride in our community.

That’s what pride has always been about.

Essentially we are promoting community, diversity and inclusion in a colourful way.

Everyone ought to be part of this float, including; gays, lesbians, straight men and women, young and old alike!
