************************* RotaryFest has a new spin

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - You’ll have fun, fun, fun ‘til Rotary puts the weekend away!

RotaryFest, the Sault’s Summer Festival, runs from Thursday, July 14 through Saturday, July 16 at Clergue Park in Sault Ste. Marie.

There’s so much excitement this year, the festival hours have been extended on Friday!

Start with Lunch al Fresco on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Savour a delicious grilled vegetable pita, a ciabatta stuffed with roast beef in a wine sauce, or chicken piccatta on a ciabatta bun.

Your choice of side salad or chips and a beverage comes in at the low, low, low price of $9, and you have yourself a delicious lunch.

Garnish with Agave Blue, a musical trio that serenades you with acoustic melodies, and you have yourself a perfect summer afternoon!

After lunch, trot over to the first annual Canine Expo.

This new (and free!) event is supported by Pet Valu, will provide hours of dog-related fun beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Watch dog sports demos, including agility and disc Dogs, or drop by the Marketplace that features pet products and services.

The first 100 attendees receive a free gift!

Three free seminars offer information on “Buying a Dog,” “Grooming Basics” and “Basic Clicker Training” - a new approach, using positive reinforcement to train you dog.

Throughout the entire festival, Essar Steel Algoma’s PlayZone offers fun for kids of all ages.

From Half Pint Hooves -a miniature horse feature - to giant inflatables, Essar Steel Algoma’s PlayZone is awash in fun, fun, fun!

Participate in contests and win prizes.

Enjoy pony rides, face painting, hair wrapping, sock puppets, the new Toddler Play Area, or the water floor!

Those young-at-heart will enjoy the SportsZone, sponsored by BMO Bank of Montreal.

The “Putt-Off” sponsored by Porter Airlines, offers a chance to win two “go-anywhere-we-fly” return tickets.

Bingo by the waterfront - $1 per game or three games for $2 - is a great way to relax and support the Sobriety Centre.

Bingo runs from 5 p.m. on Thursday and 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
