Introducing the Sault's newest young entrepreneurs

In a news release issued today, the City of Sault Ste. Marie announced the local young entrepreneurs who will be part of this year's Summer Company program.

"The young entrepreneur program provides grants and mentoring to assist high school and post-secondary students in starting a seasonal business," the release states. "This initiative is administered by the Economic Development division of the City of Sault Ste. Marie."

Ten local youths are now operating their own firms under Summer Company. The young entrepreneur program provides grants and mentoring to assist high school and post-secondary students in starting a seasonal business. This initiative is administered by the Economic Development division of the City of Sault Ste. Marie.

“Summer Company continues to be a successful and valuable program to our youth as they explore the world of self-employment,” said Jessica Maione, economic development officer with the City of Sault Ste. Marie. “Despite the challenges that business owners have experienced this past year, these young entrepreneurs are eager to join the local entrepreneurship community. I encourage everyone to support this year’s participants in their endeavours.”
