Hunters claim man in vehicle threatened them

CHAPLEAU - On Saturday, October 10, 2009, at approximately 10:58 a.m., Chapleau officers received a complaint from hunters in the Sultan area on Blamey Road that they had been threatened by a male subject who had also driven towards them a number of times in a dangerous manner with his vehicle.

Officers, along with MNR enforcement officers, attended the scene and spoke to all parties involved.

As a result of further investigation Daniel Gravel, age 48 years, of Sultan, Ontario has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

- Utter threats

- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Mr. Gravel will appear in Chapleau criminal court on December 2, 2009.
