Crews were able to put the slag pot back on the trailer using a crane.
Ministry of Transportation officials were on scene. They told SooToday they would be investigating the incident.
2:44 p.m.
Police are directing traffic around what appears to be a piece of equipment used in the steelmaking process after the huge metal object slipped partway off the trailer that was transporting it.
The traffic situation is centred around the Trunk and Black Road intersection.
