The O.P.P. in conjunction with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario would like to advise you that Highway 17 North of Sault Ste. Marie has been reopened from Heyden to Wawa as of 3:40 this morning.

At 4 p.m. yesterday the highway had been closed from Batchewana to Wawa but at 4:50p.m. the closure was extended to start at Heyden.

The closure was necessary due to blowing snow and poor road conditions.
