Residence destroyed by fire
TILLEY TOWNSHIP - At approximately 9:05 p.m. on August 11, 2016 Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Batchewana Fire and Rescue and Goulais River Fire and rescued were called to attend a house fire located in the 7000 block of Highway 17 North.
Upon arrival the structure was completely engulfed in flames.
Highway 17 was closed but was re-opened late last night.
The house was not lived in at the time of the fire. No one is known to have resided inside.
The Office of the Fire Marshall (OFM) has been called in to investigate.
The investigation is continuing.
