Ontario Provincial police have extended the Highway 17 closure to include Highway 556 in Heyden to Wawa.

Original 2 a.m. release - Hwy 17 Between Batchawana Bay and Wawa closed

Sault Ste Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police advise of the following Road Advisory:

Location:  Hwy 17 – Between Batchawana Bay and Wawa

Brief Description of Event: OPP member has closed Hwy 17 Between Batchawana Bay at Hwy 563 to Wawa Hwy 101.

Detour (if available):  None

Estimated duration of Road Advisory:  Unknown
