High water levels, heavy rainfall forces boardwalk closure

The City’s Public Works and Engineering Service Department would like to inform residents that with the heavy rainfall, high water levels and strong winds experienced today, the waterfront boardwalk will be closed effective immediately and throughout the weekend.

Staff will be monitoring the situation and will reopen the boardwalk once the repair work is completed.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie thanks its citizens for their patience and understanding during this closure. Further updates will be provided as required.
