Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement with heavy rainfall expected in the area beginning Thursday evening.
A Colorado Low is expected to track through parts of northeastern Ontario on Friday and because of it, rainfall totals of 30 to 50 mm are possible.
The rainfall is expected to begin Thursday evening and continue into Friday before it tapers off.
The statement is in effect for:
- Blind River - Thessalon
- Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake
- Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island
- Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay
