Here's a chance to have your say.

As part of Sault Ste. Marie's downtown revitalization plan, city staff are proposing to reconstruct Queen Street from Pim Street to Gore Street, East Street from Queen Street to Bay Street, and Spring Street from Queen Street to St. Mary’s River.

With a potential start date of next year, the construction will include a number of streetscape improvements such as lighting, landscaping and benches are also being planned.

Staff is hosting a follow-up public information session to talk about the projects. The session will include an updated proposal for review and the opportunity for members of the public to offer feedback on matters such as tree and landscaping plans, patio and activity spaces, bench locations, parking, street layout, accessibility and more.

  • Date: Tuesday, June 13, 2023
  • Time: 4-7 p.m. (come and go)
  • Location: Mane Street Cafe (626 Queen St. East)

All are welcome to attend the public information session and share comments and suggestions with staff. For more information or to provide input on the project, contact Salvatore Marchese, Junior Planner, at 705-759-5445 or email [email protected].
