Soo Greyhounds goaltender Brandon Halverson has been named the Canadian Hockey League’s goaltender of the week. The rookie goaltender made a pair of starts on the road last week and posted a 2-0-0-0 record with a 0.

Soo Greyhounds goaltender Brandon Halverson has been named the Canadian Hockey League’s goaltender of the week.

The rookie goaltender made a pair of starts on the road last week and posted a 2-0-0-0 record with a 0.50 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.986.

Halverson was named second star in a 7-0 win over the Sarnia Sting in Sarnia on Friday night. The Traverse City, MI native made 33 saves for the shutout.

He followed that up by making 35 saves in a 5-1 win over the Windsor Spitfires on Sunday afternoon at the WFCU Centre in Windsor.

Overall, Halverson has posted an 11-6-0 record with a 2.79 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.905 this season.
