Great Lakes Makers Market enters the local vendor scene

Founded by Rachelle Coghill, the market made its debut at the Elks Lodge on Saturday and raised funds for the Soup Kitchen

More than 20 vendors and dozens of visitors gathered at the Elks Lodge on Saturday for the debut of the Great Lakes Makers Market.

Organized by Rachelle Coghill, the market prides itself on homemade creations as every vendor has items that are hand-crafted and personally made.

Several door prizes were available, and Jiggs and Reels Catering Co. were on-site to provide locals with a variety of lunch options.

Entry to the event was by donation. All funds raised will go towards the Soup Kitchen.

The Great Lakes Makers Market will return to the Elks Lodge on Saturday Jun. 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
