Goth angels take flight (20 HeatWave pics)

Like goth angels in the afternoon, A Fall From Innocence took flight at yesterday's HeatWave concert.

A Fall From Innocence vocalist Larry Babic (shown airborne) and guitarist Matt Durette launched skyward off their amps at one point during their show in a spectacular leap of electric energy.

The crowd responded in a spontaneous demonstration of love mosh-style.

And that about summed up the day - delightfully loud music visibly appreciated by young and old audience members alike.

Oh yes, and there was pizza, prizes and refreshments too.

A Fall From Innocence was number nine in an 11-band lineup at the day-long concert held under the Bondar Pavilion yesterday.

Bands represented such diverse genres as emo, punk, metal and even an acoustic duet calling themselves SLU.

All proceeds from HeatWave 2005 are going to the G-Verdi Handicapped Social Club, said show organizer Joe Chivarelli.
