Gas prices still high in Sault, northern Ontario

Northern Ontario has been shelling out substantially more for gas these days, and it's no different here in Sault Ste. Marie. 

On Monday, local gas prices ranged from $106.9 to $112.4, says GasBuddy.com, with an average price of $109.9.

North Bay's Monday average gas price is $105.8, Sudbury's is $108.6, Barrie is $102.2 and many of the more isolated areas of northeastern Ontario are ranging around $109.6 to $112.8 per litre. 

Now, here's a list of the top ten cheapest gas prices around Ontario, all of which are below a buck a litre:

Gas is most expensive in areas like Timmins and Thunder Bay with prices averaging $115.9 in Timmins and $124.9 in Thunder Bay on Monday. 

Meanwhile, in Sault, Michigan, folks can expect to pay between $2.46 and $2.53 USD per gallon, which, according to CrossBorderShopping.ca, is about 20 cents a litre cheaper than the cheapest gas in Sault, Ontario.
