There is something for everyone to enjoy at Rotaryfest, the Sault’s Summer Festival, which began Thursday in the city’s downtown and continues through Saturday.

While the crowd anticipated Friday evening’s live entertainment at Clergue Park, the area which attracted the most interest around 6 p.m. was Ribfest, where the aroma of delicious ribs filled the air, the ribs prepared and sold by vendors from all over North America.

While amusement park rides were offered on the grounds north of the Civic Centre, SooToday.com went through Clergue Park Friday and saw smiling faces of all ages.

Children enjoyed pony rides, an inflatable park, face painting and a host of other activities while their parents looked on and cheered or joined in, all grateful to enjoy a summer day after the long winter we had.

The fun continues Saturday with the annual Community Day Parade, which starts Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pim Street and makes its way down Queen Street East.
