Stephen Grant, sought in the dismembering death of his wife Tara Lynn Grant, was arrested this morning in Emmett County near the northern tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula.

Yesterday, police in Detroit discovered what they think is Tara Lynn's torso in the garage of the family home in a Detroit suburb.

Other body parts were found in a nearby park.

A truck thought to have been used by Grant was found last night near Carp Lake, just west of Wilderness State Park near the Mackinac Bridge.

Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel told a news conference this morning that Grant suffered frostbite or hypothermia during an overnight chase in the Mackinac woods.

"Near the end he was moving quite fast through the snow until he was apprehended," the sheriff said, adding that "we think we have the right man based on his own statements."

"He was not in the condition to run anymore or obviously to flee," Hackel said.

Grant was taken Sunday morning to Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, where he is reported in serious condition.

Tara Lynn Grant (shown) was an operations manager with Idaho-based Washington Group International of Boise, Idaho.

Her frequent work visits to Puerto Rico were said to be a source of family friction.

Tara Lynn was last was seen February 9.

Her husband filed a missing-person report five days later.

An autopsy on the body parts is scheduled for today.
