Drug cops pay Katrina a visit on Biggings Avenue

******************** On October 19 around 4 p.m. the Joint Forces Drug Unit, which consists of members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Section, the Ontario Provincial Police North East Region Crime Unit and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, executed a search warrant at a residence on Biggings Avenue with the assistance of patrol officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

Officers arrested two persons and located 1.1 grams of marijuana, one ecstasy tablet, two marijuana plants and 19 doses of LSD.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $2500.

During the execution of the warrant the female accused resisted officers by attempting to walk away and had to be restrained.

When a female officer searched the accused female she found the LSD as well as a small amount of cannabis marijuana.

Officers also seized $250 in cash from the residence.

19-year-old Brian Bouchard of 179 Biggings Avenue has been charged with one count of production of a controlled drug or substance and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance.

He will appear in bail court this morning.

21-year-old Katrina Holkko of 179 Biggings Avenue has been charged with one count of production of a controlled drug or substance, two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance and one count of resist arrest.

She will appear in court on November 21.
