That was good for third place in the event, which was won by Frank Weise of Sir James Dunn with a throw of 47.74 metres.

There was one record set at today's meet.

Dan Kennedy tossed a meet-record 43.94 metres in the boys senior discus throw.

The 18-year-old earned two other gold medals today.

He threw 14.84 metres in the senior shot put and ran a blistering leg as part of the Dunn's first-place 4x100 relay team.

Kennedy tells SooToday.com he's hoping to medal at OFSAA this year in the shot put.
