LAKE SUPERIOR STATE UNIVERSITY NEWS RELEASE

************************* Special children's concert by Detroit Symphony Group at LSSU

Sault Ste. Marie, MI – By special arrangement with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Lake Superior State University is pleased to announce a second concert as part of their preview of their new Fine Arts Center.

This concert will be for children ages 5–16 years entitled "Fiddlin' Around with the Ambassador Quintet."

The Quintet features Hai-Xin Wu and Marguerite Deslippe-Dene, violins; Caroline Coade, viola; Robert deMaine, cello; and Marshall Hutchinson, bass.

All performers are members of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and have performed this educational outreach program for many years.

Their 45-minute program reaches young audiences with enthusiasm and love for music.

The children’s concert will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 4:30 p.m.

Since an anonymous benefactor has underwritten the entire cost of the children’s concert, tickets will be provided to children and their families at no charge.

Tickets are required for admission and are available now on a "first come – first serve" basis at the LSSU Norris Center ticket office.

All tickets for this concert must be picked up at the ticket office in person.

No child will be admitted without being accompanied by an adult.

Groups are encouraged.

This concert will have open, general admission seating with doors opening at 3:45 p.m.
