The Art Gallery of Algoma has about 5000 pieces in its permanent collection.
As fun way to raise funds and celebrate spring, executive director Jasmina Jovanovic called out to local artists and flower shops to make floral arrangements inspired by these works.
On Friday, the AGA held 'Art in Bloom', a dinner and exhibition of the flower arrangements posed alongside the inspiring art pieces.
Arrangements were voted on by those in attendance.
The winner, for the second year in a row, was Susan Doherty of Metro Flower Shop, who won for her piece 'Out of the Ashes' which was inspired by Ashleigh E. Moorhouse's 1984 piece, 'The Bush was Burned yet not Consumed'.
Jovanovic said the floral arrangements will stay up at the gallery for as long as the flowers survive so, if you want to check them out, you should be able to over the next week or so.
