Flipped pickup near Blind River sends two to hospital (4 photos)

Two people taken to the hospital with minor injuries

A single vehicle collision involving a black Ford Ranger occurred along Highway 17 about 15 km east of Blind River today.

Witnesses, who heard the collision and were on scene moments later, said that at around 11:15 a.m. a the pickup truck flipped and went off the highway.

The witnesses said that based on the tracks and position of the flipped vehicle that it appeared to have been travelling westbound.

Witnesses said police, fire, and ambulance attended the scene.

The Ontario Provincial Police said that the driver of the truck and a passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police and witnesses said that a tractor stuck in a ditch directly across from where the pickup truck flipped was not involved in the incident.
