First shift begins at Boniferro Mill Works

The first shift at what used to be Domtar's Sault Ste. Marie hardwood operation started at 8 a.m. this morning. As SooToday.com reported two weeks ago, the closed Domtar operation was bought by Boniferro Mill Works Inc.

The first shift at what used to be Domtar's Sault Ste. Marie hardwood operation started at 8 a.m. this morning.

As SooToday.com reported two weeks ago, the closed Domtar operation was bought by Boniferro Mill Works Inc., headed by Domtar's former local manager, Jim Boniferro.

Production won't start until tomorrow, but the first workers entered the plant today for orientation and safety training and orientation.
