NEWS RELEASE
SAULT STE. MARIE AND DISTRICT LABOUR COUNCIL
*********************
Sault Ste Marie District Labour Council invites the public to join us for Sault Ste Marie's first Women's March (for social justice).

Women from across the globe are mobilizing on Jan. 19, 2019 to defend our rights and democracy. People will gather in cities across the world to speak up for social and economic justice.

We invite the public to walk in solidarity with members of our community to end violence against women, and bring equity and inclusion to all.

We walk for worker's rights, civil rights, disability rights, Indigenous people's rights, LGBTQIA rights, immigrant rights and environmental justice. Be part of Sault Ste. Marie's voice! Join us at noon-1:30 p.m. in front of the Court House at 426 Queen St E and bring your sign. This is a family friendly event.

The rally will proceed along the north side of Queen Street to Bruce Street, cross to the south side of Queen Street to Elgin Street then south on Elgin Street to Bay Street, cross to the east side of Elgin Street and walk north returning to the Court House.
