Firefighters respond to Wellington Street fire (updated, 7 photos)

Sault Fire Services, police and EMS ambulances are at the scene of an apartment fire in the 700 block of Wellington Street E.

There are no fatalities or injuries reported, all occupants of the apartment building safely evacuated after a fire broke out on the ground floor of the apartment building. 

An apartment resident told SooToday he arrived home to find a stove top fire, the ground floor and second floor filled with smoke.

Wellington Street East between East Street and Pim Street will remain closed while Sault Fire Services are on scene.
