SooToday.com has been asked to pass on to our readers the following requests regarding a flim being shot in Northern Ontario this fall depicting the life of Shania Twain:

************************* Individuals being sought to fill aboriginal roles for Shania film

Sudbury - Barna-Alper Productions is currently seeking individuals to fill a number of Aboriginal roles for the upcoming television film Shania.

The following roles are all paid under Actra contracts and will shoot in Sudbury between Sept. 20 and Oct. 8.

MARK (@ 8 yrs): Actor. Male. Caucasian/ Native American Heritage. Eileen’s younger brother. Must be slim. Could be 7-9 years of age. Should have dark hair and dark eyes.

DARRYL (@ 6 YRS): ACTOR. MALE. NATIVE ROLE. Eilleen’s youngest brother. Very slim and very hungry. Could be 5-7 years of age. Must be Native.

KENNY: ACTOR. MALE. NATIVE. 17- 18 YRS. Playing guitar around a campfire. Helps young Eilleen sing harmony for a song. Must be comfortable singing and playing guitar.

TWAIN COUSIN TWO: ACTOR. NATIVE. 30’S – 50’S. MALE OR FEMALE. Offers to take care of Eilleen’s brothers when her parents die.

************************* Crew members sought for production of Shania film

Sudbury - Northern Hit Productions is looking for crew members to assist in the production of the television film SHANIA.

Shooting in Sudbury is scheduled to take place between September 20 and October 8.

The production company is looking for people to work as trainees and assistants and wonder-workers in the following departments:

- Production Office - Locations - Craft Service - Set Construction - Painters - Set Dressing - Props - Lighting - Grip - Sound - Drivers (Class AZ)

Direct experience or academic background in these, or closely related fields, is strongly preferred.

Interested individuals are asked to fax a resume, stating the department they would most like to work in, to SHANIA c/o Music and Film in Motion at 705-674-9990.

Northern Hit Productions will also be looking for a number of background performers for the film.
