    •    Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island
    •    Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay
    •    Blind River - Thessalon
    •    Espanola - Killarney
    •    Manitoulin Island
    •    Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake

A brief cool down tonight then the heat returns for most of this week.

Daytime temperatures will be near 30 degrees again Tuesday through Thursday, with humidex values in the mid 30s. Low temperatures overnight will be in the high teens to low 20s providing little relief from the heat. Temperatures near the lake shores will be cooler.

Another cool down is expected by Friday with the passage of another cold front.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
