The 2002 Stuff-a-Bus Campaign ended Saturday afternoon when a Sault Transit bus was completely filled with toys and food items to be delivered to Christmas Cheer on Monday.

Shown helping load up the bus are (l. to r.) Sault Transit's Elaine Turner, Art Osborne of COPS Marketing Group and Scott Turnbull, morning host on Q104 Radio and Soo Greyhounds colour commentator. (If you squint really hard you can also see our friend Meghan in the background.)

Fifteen minutes before our photographer arrived at the bus's scheduled Saturday stop at the Great Northern Road Zellers, a woman showed up with a shopping cart full of new toys.

She'd approached Stuff-a-Bus volunteers earlier and asked whether they were short of any items.

Advised that they hadn't received a lot for teens, she immediately departed on a shopping spree at Zellers and returned with a very sizable donation.

Zellers also made a large contribution yesterday of both toys and cash for Christmas Cheer.
