*************************** The Sault Ste. Marie detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged two youths in connection with a break-in to the Mother of God Catholic Church in Goulais River reported on 18 August 2004 where the church CD/cassette player had been stolen.

The property has been recovered and the two youths are charged with break-and-enter and possession of stolen property contrary to the Criminal Code.

A second break-and-enter to the Mother of God Catholic Church in Goulais River on 25 August 2004 and a break-and-enter to a storage barn in Goulais River has resulted in charges against three youths.

Property that had been taken from the church's food bank was recovered.

All three youths are charged with: break and enter, possession of stolen property and possession of break-in instruments contrary to the Criminal Code.

**************************** Sault Ste. Marie OPP are investigating a mischief complaint on Highway 556 in Aweres Township as a small car struck and knocked over mailboxes at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday the 25th of August 2004.

**************************** Sault Ste. Marie OPP are assisting the Anishinabek Police Service with a rash of theft, vandalism and break-and-enter incidents that occurred overnight on Thursday August 26, 2004.
