East-end collision disrupts lunch-hour traffic (4 photos)

One person was stretchered from the scene and required medical attention

Around 12:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the corner of Wellington Street East and Churchill Boulevard following a two-vehicle collision.

A mini-SUV faces significant damages to its front end after appearing to collide with the back end of a commercial truck just outside the Metro parking lot.

One of the occupants from the mini-SUV was stretchered from the scene and required medical attention.

Traffic heading west on Wellington Street East is reduced to one lane as emergency crews remain on-site.

The Churchill Boulevard entrance to Metro is also inaccessible as the scene gets cleaned up.

The exact cause of the accident is unknown at this time.

SooToday will update this story if more information becomes available.
