Drivers asked to avoid Iron Bridge

Ontario Provincial Police are asking motorists to avoid Highway 17 at Iron Bridge.

A tractor-trailer moving heavy equipment has jackknifed near Coles Bay Road.

Here's the latest from the OPP, as of 11 a.m.

(Iron Bridge, ON) - OPP officers at the scene of the jackknifed tractor trailer report that the crane has arrived on the scene and will require the next two to three hours to remove it.

A utility trailer filled with antique furniture towed by a pickup truck caught fire while stopped at the scene and was completely engulfed in flames before fire crews arrived.

It is unknown at this [time] what caused the fire.

An additional tow truck has been called to the scene to remove it.

No one was injured in today’s events.

OPP are not detouring traffic due to extremely poor weather conditions in the area.
