Would you like some Irish spirit with your Irish cream?

After an exhausting search, Marilyn Cypas, owner of Saint Cinnamon in the Station Mall was one of the few people SooToday.com could find showing off their spirit today.

We are sure that many Saultites hold naomh in their hearts but our search turned up few people other than Cypas displaying their Lá Fhéile Pádraig fervour openly.

Here's a bit of St. Paddy's Day trivia so you can annoy all your friends by being a boorish know-it-all:

******************************** St. Patrick's Day Facts

- St. Patrick's real name is Maewyn Succat

- at the age of 16 Succat was kidnapped from his home in Britain by pirates and sold into slavery in Ireland

- after six years of slavery he escaped to the northern coast of Gaul

- there he adopted the name Patrick (a Christian name)

- he studied in a monastery under St. Germain, bishop of Auxerre for 12 years

- there he believe that it was his calling to convert the pagans of Ireland to Christianity
