Darrell and Henry get stopped by the police

********************* Around 4 a.m. yesterday morning patrol officers stopped a pickup truck in the downtown area after it failed to stop for a stop sign at Hudson Street and Cathcart Street.

When officers were speaking with the two male occupants they noted an open bottle of liquor in the vehicle.

As a result the officers started to search the vehicle.

One of the males attempted to stop the officers from searching the vehicle and was subsequently arrested.

Officers located approximately 30 grams of cocaine with a street value of approximately $3,000.

Officers also located a canister of mace, a quantity of money and some drug paraphernalia.

26-year-old Darrell Boissoneau of 609-627 MacDonald Avenue has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance, and one count of unauthorized weapon.

23-year-old Henry Cadreau of 28 Hughes Street has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance, one count of obstruct police and one count of possession of an unauthorized weapon.

Both males will appear in bail court this morning.
