A cyber attack has led to the email system being shut down at the Children's Aid Society of Algoma.

"On Nov. 3rd, 2021 the organization was made aware of an attempted cyber-attack on the organization," a release issued Thursday afternoon from the Children's Aid said. "As a precaution, the email system was shut down and the I.T. department is working diligently to safely get the organizations email access functioning again as soon as possible."

The agency remains open and the public can still access services though the agency asks that anyone who needs to contact them do so by phone at this time.
