Tired of cold, wet weather that only a duck could love?

Out at Crimson Ridge resort they're so sick of waiting for decent golf weather that they're offering special rates tied to the day's temperature.

It's a special promotion that started today and continues over the next two weeks.

Here's their announcement:

*************************** Play the Temperature Promotion - June 1 to 14, 2004

Crimson Ridge Resort isn't waiting for summer to start any longer.

They've taken matters into their own hands.

The Resort is launching a promotional program that will benefit would-be golf players regardless of daily temperatures and foul weather forecasts.

"We want to be optimistic about the weather for this season," says Golf Pro Dan Missere, "but so many people are frustrated about the temperature-really tired of the cool, wet days we've had here in the Sault, we thought-Why not turn this into a positive?"

Crimson Ridge is doing just that.

The award-winning resort has launched a "Play the Temperature" promotion, beginning today and taking us through to mid June.

"Each day Crimson Ridge will post the temperature based on the Weather Network forecast for the Sault" explains Missere.

"The rest is pretty easy. We start the rate at $30 (zero degrees) and add a dollar per degree Celsius according to the daily temperature.

Even at 17 degrees, a really nice day and the norm for this time of year, 18 holes of golf will only cost $47."

Adds Missere, "There's lots of people chomping at the bit to get out on the course this year-this is our way of adding a little warmth and sunshine".

The course has boasted a number of accolades since its Grand Opening in 2002.

The Globe and Mail bestowed honours upon two of the Golf Resort's signature holes, naming the 17th and 18th holes to the list of "Top Ten Golf Holes in Canada."

Ontario Golf Magazine named the course as one of the top three new courses in Ontario, and the best deal of all Ontario Golf resorts.
