******************** The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public's assistance in apprehending suspects who have tampered with ATMs.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is investigating a number of incidents in which Automatic Banking Machines have been tampered with on the weekends.

Unknown suspects have tampered with the ATMs in what appears to be a skimming operation.

Skimming occurs when equipment is attached to a machine to capture the account information, including a false-front reader and a hidden camera to capture the PIN number.
