Crews respond to laundry room fire on Pim Street

Improper handling and storage of hot rags and linens was the cause of a fire this morning, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services say.

Fire Services say they responded to a call of a reported fire shortly before 10:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Pim Street.

When crews arrived, they were directed to the laundry room of the commercial building, where they were able to extinguish the fire.

There were no injuries to report and minimal damage was done.
