Court appearance today for trio accused of killing Wesley Hallam

Eric Mearow, Dylan Jocko and Ron Mitchell will be at the Sault Ste. Marie courthouse this morning, charged in the January 2011 slaying and dismemberment of Wesley Hallam.

An 8:30 a.m. courthouse protest seeking justice for Hallam is also being promoted on social media.

SooToday will have a team of newsgatherers there to provide full coverage.

The trio is charged with first-degree murder and committing an indignity to a human body.

Hallam died on January 8, 2011 at a house party at 30 Wellington Street East.

His headless, dismembered body was located three days later near Landslide Road.

Other body parts were located in March 2011 across the river at a landfill site in Dafter, Michigan.

Pre-trial motions are scheduled into September with a trial anticipated the following month.
