The public is invited to express their views on the Great Lakes, and what actions Canada and the U.S. should take to restore and protect them.

The International Joint Commission (IJC) will be holding a public meeting from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. March 2 at the Delta Waterfront Hotel.

The meeting will include brief presentations on a guide to Great Lakes progress reports compiled by the Canadian and U.S. governments and the IJC, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario’s water infrastructure upgrades, the Little Rapids restoration project completion and the Lake Superior Water Trail.

The floor will then be open to public comments and conversation.

Admission and parking are free, but those wanting to attend must register online

The meeting’s public comment session will be moderated by Gayle Broad, Algoma University NORDIK institute director.
