Community Builders Awards: Colleen Grisdale is this year’s Unsung Hero

Colleen has dedicated her time and resources to people and animals in need in our community for the last 15 years

Colleen Grisdale is a committed volunteer and advocate for both animals and people in need in our community.

She works tirelessly with The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG) to protect and care for pets without homes and has invested much of her own time and resources to ensure stray cats have a warm place to sleep and find a loving forever home.

Additionally, Colleen is a dedicated volunteer at St. Vincent Place, where she regularly assists with its Lunches for Learning program. She frequently restocks the shelves at the shelter and helps to deliver packages to families in need.

Colleen sits on the board of directors for both St. Vincent Place and TAAG, where she continues to ignite positive change in Sault Ste. Marie, from the ground up.

The Unsung Hero award is presented to an individual whose tireless work and/or volunteer efforts in our community seek to improve the lives of others.

Congratulations on receiving this award, Colleen!

This award is proudly sponsored by Algoma University.
